Day 01: Bangalore

Upon arrival at Bangalore, meet and greet at the airport and get transfer to the hotel.

Day 02: Bangalore – Somnathpura – Mysore (220 km & 05 hrs approx) – by Surface

Post breakfast at hotel you will check-out and leave to explore the “The Garden City”.  You will see Vidhan Sabha, built in the year 1954 is one of the major centers of attraction in Bangalore. Lal Bagh Botanical Garden The name Lal Bagh has been given to it for the wonderfully bloomed red roses that remain blooming all through the year in this garden. The garden has also a collection of famous Botanical species and Bangalore Palace Built in the year 1887, Bangalore palace is a must see tourist spot in the garden city.

Later you will be driven to visit The Chennakesava Temple at Somnathpura.

Then you will be driven to check-in to the hotel in Mysore.  Overnight stay.

Day 03: Mysore – Bandipur (80 km & 02 hrs approx) – By Surface

After breakfast at hotel leave for sightseeing tour to – Mysore Palace – This structure is one of the largest of its kind in India. Built in 1912 in the Indo Saracenic style, this place excludes a grandeur that is unmatched. The Golden Royal Elephant Throne, the Durbar Hall, the Kalyana Mandap and the Gallery are the main attractions here.   Visit Chamundeshwari temple atop the Chamundi Hills Day.

You will drive to Bandipur, arrive & check-in to the hotel.

Day 04: Bandipur – Ooty (80 km approx) – By Surface

In the morning you will enjoy Jungle Safari in the park.

Day 05: Ooty

Today you will explore the beautiful Hill town called the Queen of Hill Stations. Ooty is the most popular hill station in the South. Located in the Western ghats. Apart from coffee and tea plantations, trees like confiers, eucalptus, pine and wattle dot the hillside in Ooty Curiously enough, this slice of paradise remained unknown to the great southern dynasties and it took the British to discover it in the early 1800s.

Proceed for sightseeing tour of Ooty and visit Botanical Garden ,Lake Park, Ooty Lake, Deer Park, , rose garden.

Day 06:  Ooty – Connoor (By Toy Train)

Connoor – Cochin (270 km & 8 hrs approx) – By Surface

Morning get transfer to railway station to board on train for Coonoor.

Arr. Coonnor at 1025 hrs

Arrive and meet at the railway station, you will be driven to Cochin.  Arrive and check-in to the hotel.  Overnight stay.

Day 07: Cochin

Morning half day city tour and visit Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, Chinese Fishing nets, St. Francis church and the Santa Cruz Church.  Afternoon at leisure.  Overnight stay.

Day 08: Cochin – Alleppey (63 km & 02 hrs approx) – By Surface

After breakfast at hotel you will be driven to Alleppey, on arrival you will board on beautiful decorated houseboat for round trip.  You will be served delicious Lunch & Dinner on the houseboat.

Kanya Kumari is the land’s end of India where the water of the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bangal and The Indian Ocean meet. An important pilgrim centre of India, it is famous for the Amman temple – a symbol of unity and sanctity – dedicated to the virgin goddess, kanya Kumari. To is South-East lies the famous Vivekananda Rock Memorial, a blend of all the architectural style of India.  You will enjoy the spectacular sunset.  The Sunset in Kanyakumari is one of the wonderful sights to watch. It’s really a feast to ones eye.

Day 12: Kanyakumari –Rameswaram (320 km & 08 hrs approx) – By Surface

In the morning, you will drive to Rameshwaram, upon arrival check-in to the hotel.

The island of Rameshwaram spreads out over a 56 km swell with gentle sand dunes, embellished with the delicacy of casuarinas trees and stark palms.  This is a sacred place for Hindus since according to Ramayana; this is where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva to absolve himself of the sin of killing Ravana. A dip into the sacred waters of the Agnitheertham which was calmed by Rama is a must for Hindus.

Day 13: Rameshwaram – Madurai (170 km & 04 hrs approx) – By Surface

After breakfast at hotel you will visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, Ramjharoka Temple & Gandamadana Parvatham.

In the morning leave for half day Sightseeing tour of Madurai The most prominent tourist attraction in Madurai is the Meenakshi Amman Temple dedicated to Goddess Shakti or Meenakshi.It is one of the important centers of Hindu pilgrimage. The Meenakshi temple exemplifies the Dravidian architecture with gopurams (large gateways) and mandapams (multi-pillared halls) covered from top to bottom in an abundance of multi-coloured images of gods, goddesses, animals and mythical figures.  Also visit Gandhi Museum, this is the most distinguished among the tourist attractions in Madurai and is a living memorial of Mahatma Gandhi.  Then visit Thirumalai nayak palace.

Day 15: Madurai – Trichy – Tanjore (190 km & 04 hrs approx) – By Surface

After breakfast at hotel you will leave to visit the temples in Trichy.

After visiting drive to Tanjore and check-in to the hotel.  Overnight stay.

Day 16: Tanjore – Mahabalipuram (280 km & 06 hrs approx) – By Surface

After breakfast at hotel leave to visit the famous Brahadeeswarar Temple. The temple was constructed more than thousand years ago by the King Rajarajan, is an architect’s marvel. It is a flourishing centre for bronze sculpture and painting.

Later you will be driven to Mahabalipuram, arrive and check-in to the hotel.  Rest of the day at leisure.  Overnight stay.

Day 17: Mahabalipuram – Kanchipuram – Chennai (135 km approx) – By Surface

In the morning proceed for half day city tour of Mammalapuram includes visit to Shore Temple. Itis believed that there were seven magnificent temples what are known as the seven pagodas, built near the sea share. But the lonely survivor is the shore temples; Arjuna’s Penance. This rock bas-relief was built by king Narasimha I. This rock is shaped like that of a huge wale. The sculpture is carved at the back portion of the whale shaped stone; the five Rathas is a set of magnificent monolithic rock temples. They are built in the shape of pagodas and they look similar to that of the Buddhist shrines and monasteries. Rathas in English means chariots. These chariots are constructed with towers, multipillared halls, and sculptured walls which are chiseled out minutely. The Rathas have an association to the great epic Mahabharata which describes the heroes of Mahabharata with their wife Dhrupads which is termed as panchapandavarathas.

Later you will be driven to Chennai via visit Kanchipuram, the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple dedicated to Lord Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings on the walls. Temple of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous for silk products.

Arrive Chennai and check-in to the hotel.  Overnight stay.

Day 18: Chennai

Today after breakfast at hotel leave for city tour of Chennai. The Capital of the south eastern state of Tamil Nadu (the land of Tamils), Chennai is one of the four major metropolitan cities in India and one of the holiday destinations in the golden triangle of the Southern India. The city is situated on the shores of Bay of Bengal.

The small fishing village has turned into a beautiful city. Chennai perhaps is the most peaceful and green metropolis in India. Chennai has a number of attractions for the tourists to relish. The city has its fair share of forts and palaces reminding the tourists the glory of bygone eras along with the modern advancements. Most of the tourist attractions in the city do have a distinct colonial influence though the others are religious shrines.

Your tour will comprise of the visit to the Kapaleeshwar Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is the oldest temple in Chennai. It was constructed in the 13th century. The other important temple in the city is the Parthsarthy temple with Lord Krishna as the reigning deity. The temple reveals the architectural skills of the Dravidians. The main entrance facing east is painted in red, blue and yellow with mythological legends sculpted on the sanctum sanctorum.

Also visit Pantheon Complex. The colonial influence can be seen at the Fort St. George. The fort was founded by Sir Day. The exterior of the fort has been done in gray granite. This is quiet in contrast with the decoration of the Mughal forts. This first piece of real estate that British owned in India housed barracks for the British army, a parade ground, and the oldest church of Chennai namely, St. Mary’s Church.

More than that the structures the city also has its natural beauty. One of the examples of the natural abundance in Chennai is the beautiful Marina beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 19: Chennai (Departure)

Morning free after breakfast at hotel.  Check-out at 1200 hrs.  In time you will be transferred to airport to board on flight for onwards destination.
